SCROOMS Ocarina: How to Unlock and Use It

SCROOMS OCARINA / UNLOCK AND SONG TOOL

To unlock the SCROOMS Ocarina, accept Halden’s The Next Step quest, register Pay Respects at five different Grove Statues and return to Halden. Finish the reward dialogue before looking for songs in your inventory.

SCROOMS Ocarina Unlock Requirements

  1. Complete Leo’s opening tutorial and follow the instruction to Halden.
  2. Speak to Halden at the Grove campfire until the statue objective is active.
  3. Use Pay Respects at five different statues. Use the five Grove Statue locations and checklist when you need the route.
  4. Confirm 5/5 in the game, return to Halden and finish the reward conversation.

The official Magic Melody badge names the Ocarina unlock. The badge supports the reward identity; it is not a substitute for checking your current item and quest state.

The Ocarina Is a Song Tool

Catching instruments attract and capture Scrooms. The Ocarina instead plays learned utility songs. Unlocking the tool does not mean every later song is already in Known Songs.

Select the Ocarina and inspect the songs available in your current menu. Do not try to play a utility melody on the catching-frequency slider.

SCROOMS Homeward Melody Notes

The launch reference for Homeward Melody is Left → Down → Up → Left. Use the matching labelled inputs in your current Ocarina menu. The song returns you to your set spawn, so a different destination can be correct if that spawn changed.

Homeward Melody does not open a sealed sigil door. That task uses Song of Passage after its own unlock quest.

Ocarina Missing After Five Statue Interactions

Check that the game counter reached five, not only the website checklist. Then return to Halden and finish his conversation. If the tool is present but a song is missing, inspect that song’s unlock instead of repeating all five statues.
