SCROOMS Beginner Guide: Your First Session
FIRST SESSION / SONGKEEPER’S GROVE
This SCROOMS beginner guide follows Leo’s opening quest: receive the Wooden Lute, make your first catch, return to Leo, then buy and equip the Tamer’s Guitar.

SCROOMS Beginner Route: Start with Leo
Section titled “SCROOMS Beginner Route: Start with Leo”Find Leo in Songkeeper’s Grove and accept the opening task. Take the Wooden Lute and select it. Receiving the instrument and equipping it are separate actions. Read the quest tracker before leaving.
Complete Leo’s First Catch Objective
Section titled “Complete Leo’s First Catch Objective”Play the lute near a Scroom and follow the tuning and catch-zone prompts. If the minigame is your obstacle, use the illustrated SCROOMS catching guide. For keyboard and touch inputs, see SCROOMS controls.
After a successful catch, return to Leo. Finish the conversation so the tutorial advances before trying to complete the next objective.

Buy and Equip the First Guitar
Section titled “Buy and Equip the First Guitar”Follow the tutorial’s sale objective at the Grove stall. Read whether the offer sells your held catch or more of your inventory. The launch walkthrough reports the Tamer’s Guitar at 100 Chimes; check the current shop price before buying.
Open Equipment Bag → Instruments, select the guitar and press Equip. Close the bag and check what your character holds. Return to Leo if the tracker still asks for a conversation. Buying an instrument alone may leave an equip objective unfinished.
Choose Your Next SCROOMS Guide
Section titled “Choose Your Next SCROOMS Guide”If Leo’s tracker has not advanced, check the exact objective: catch, return, buy and equip are separate checks. Avoid buying another instrument just because a conversation remains unfinished.
Continue to Grove Statue locations for Halden’s next quest. For upgrade planning, use SCROOMS instruments; for earning and sale decisions, see SCROOMS Chimes.
