Five interactions, then one return. Accept Halden’s task, use Pay Respects at five different statues and talk to Halden again. The Ocarina is the reward for finishing the conversation.
Find Halden’s camp
Section titled “Find Halden’s camp”After the opening tutorial, look for Halden by the campfire and two tents beside the large Grove tree. Speak to him until the tracker asks you to pay respects at five Grove Statues.

Section titled “SCROOMS Grove Statues: Five Location Landmarks”Approach each statue and use its Pay Respects prompt. Seeing the pedestal is not enough. Check that the game counter increases before marking the stop below.

Tick a stop after the game records Pay Respects. The in-game 5/5 counter takes priority.
Check the space between their houses. Use the NPC names to orient yourself.
Look near the river and large tree, between the waterfall and Beekeeper Jones.
Go behind the seller’s building near spawn, rather than stopping at the front.
Check near Shax and the lift, across from the seller-side landmark.

Section titled “Still at 4/5?”Check the objective is active, then revisit the stop where you did not see the counter increase. The statues have similar stone pedestals but different poses and instruments: a familiar-looking statue can be one you already counted.
The local checklist is a memory aid, not a map or a game connection. You can visit the five stops in any order.
Return for the Ocarina
Section titled “Return for the Ocarina”At 5/5, return to Halden and finish his reward dialogue. The Magic Melody badge names the Ocarina unlock. This is a separate song tool, not a replacement catching instrument.
